A Simple Yet Humongous Little Goal

Recently I have been thinking about life and how I can foster a better outlook and attitude towards those things that just seem mundane and rather routine in my life, as I was thinking I thought of a goal I made about a year ago and how setting that simple little goal has given me satisfaction and a "Wendy, You Can Do Anything Attitude". It's simple but I proved to myself I can do anything if I follow the principle of setting goals, afterall I figure I have to make small ones to get me to the "Big Ones" that are that which brings pure JOY and attainment in this life and beyond.

So... For one Year now I have made my bed EVERY DAY, Haven't skipped a one! Are you proud of me, I 'm quite pleased with myself!

"I believe you can train yourself to become a positive thinker, but you must cultivate a desire to develop the skill of setting personal worthy and realistic goals. I am so thoroughly convinced that if we don’t set goals in our life and learn how to master the technique of living to reach our goals, we can reach a ripe old age and look back on our life only to see that we reached but a small part of our full potential. When you learn to master the principle of setting a goal, you will then be able to make a great difference in the results you attain in this life." - Elder M. Russell Ballard

Now... to keeping my room spotless.

That is remarkable. While you were making your bed everyday, I was NOT making mine everyday. That's just as hard, believe me.

PS..Did you just love Beth's card? She has an awesome idea for a reunion!!!

I am very proud of you wendy, I like your thinking! I am going to make my bed everyday for a... well forever!! I should do it and I will do it! It will be my start in a series of goals I have. I love the quote, I love that he said that we can train ourselves to be positive thinkers... I needed to see that quote! Thanks, and cute comforter by the way!

I strongly agree! My current job is what got me going on goals and now it's very much a part of my life. I set goals on a regular basis instead of at New Year's. Now the tricky part has been accomplishing them. =) They do keep me on track. Congrats on accomplishing your goal. I too know that you can do anything! I've always looked up to you Wendy because you get things done. Thanks also for you're comments on my blog! You're one of a kind Wendy and glad I know you!!! Keep up the good work! If these are just the simple goals, I can't wait to hear about the big ones!

P.S.- It reminds me of the scripture that talks about "by small & simple things shall great things be brought to pass". I know you have already accomplished some major things by doing the simple things first but knowing you...there are even more great things to come!!
