Peanut Butter Blossoms - My Ticket to...

I love this ward already, for Enrichment we had a chocolate bake off. The only rules were that your recipe had to have chocolate as an ingredient. So last night at approximately 5:24 I went to the store to get the ingredients, I aimlessly wandered around Walmart trying to figure out what in the world I should make. I needed to impress these grandma's who I'm sure bake cookies daily for the grand kids or the stay at home moms who have all day to whip up the perfect chocolatey delight. What was I to do, time was running short and the pressure was building.
This was not a night for Western Family chips, I needed the big guns - - but should I choose Toll House or Hershey's, I stuck to my gut and Hershey's Mini Kisses it was. The recipe was on the back. It was inspiration, I know it! Peanut Butter Blossoms were the ticket to my acceptance into the Winder 13th ward.
As eluded to earlier in this post I was running a little late. After all I do work all day and domestication is the last thing on my mind. After adding the three little kisses on the top I was on my way. I was a little late due to the time constraints, but I made it. I met a new friend Brighton and her little boy who just moved into the ward, we chatted for a while and then each person was given two pennies to vote. We voted and I was tied for first place...with a cake mix cookie of all things, so we had a vote off. I must confess that I voted for myself, in my defense I did think they were the best. You can't do better than peanut butter and chocolate together. I didn't win in the vote off, but I am sure proud of my little Peanut Butter Blossoms, and may I give all my thanks to the great people at Hershey's for giving me this opportunity [tear].

Now that I have my secret weapon...it's time to test it on the boys. If it works PB Blossoms for refreshment at my reception (too bad for those with peanut allergies)!

Hey Wendy Girl,

Never thought I'd have contact with you again...it's RHONDA. I just wanted to say "Hi" and that thankfully through surfing through people's blogs...Tiffany's and Keli's I found yours. And I totally agree...Peanut Butter Blossoms are all the rage and yours would've gotten my two pennies.

I got an e-mail about my 10 yr class reunion and I can't believe it's been over ten years since we were all sweating in aerobics class. Anyways, just thought I would drop you a line.

Good Luck at the next bake off, anything with chex is always a hit too.
